Dr. Stacie Grossman Bloom is the Vice Chancellor for Global Research and Innovation, Vice Provost for Research, and Chief Research Officer at New York University (NYU). In her role, she is instrumental in expanding NYU’s research initiatives and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations both within the U.S. and internationally across NYU’s extensive global network. Dr. Bloom also oversees entrepreneurial and commercialization activities, works closely with university leaders to strengthen NYU’s infrastructure for research, and supports economic development efforts. In addition, she is one of the founding directors of Empire AI. Before joining NYU, she held editorial positions at Nature Medicine and was Vice President and Scientific Director at The New York Academy of Sciences. With a background in molecular neurobiology, her career has been marked by significant contributions to science policy and mentorship, as well as a dedication to training, and enhancing research integrity and innovation at NYU.
